Cookie Policy

Why this page exists
The shop stores a few small pieces of information in your browser — cookies and similar local storage — to remember your basket and your settings and, only if you agree, to count which pages are viewed. There are no advertising cookies here, no social-network pixels and nothing that follows you to other sites. This page lists what we set, why, and how to change your mind.
Always on: strictly necessary
A handful of entries is needed for the shop to function at all. They remember:
▸ the contents of your basket until you pay or clear it;
▸ the currency and language you selected;
▸ the answer you gave on the cookie banner, so we don't ask on every page;
▸ a short-lived technical token that protects the checkout hand-off from tampering.
These hold no profile of you, are never used for marketing, and expire after at most 12 months. Because the service you asked for cannot work without them, the law allows them without consent.
Only with your consent: analytics
If you press "Accept all" on the banner, we set analytics cookies that tell us, in aggregate, which pages and packs are viewed, from which country, and on which type of device. We use this to decide what to make next. The data is counted, not tied to you as a named person, and is not shared with advertisers. If you choose "Essential only", not a single analytics cookie is set and nothing is sent to an analytics tool. Analytics cookies expire after a maximum of 13 months.
At checkout
When you proceed to pay, you are taken to the page of our certified payment provider. That provider may set its own cookies to secure the transaction and detect fraud. Those cookies belong to the provider, are governed by its own policy, and come into play only during payment. We have no access to them.
Legal basis
Storing information on your device and reading it is regulated in Poland by the Electronic Communications Law (ustawa z dnia 12 lipca 2024 r. – Prawo komunikacji elektronicznej, in force since 10 November 2024), together with the GDPR where personal data is involved. Strictly necessary storage relies on the exception for storage essential to provide a service you explicitly requested. Analytics relies on your consent, which you give or refuse on the banner and may withdraw at any time. The processing of any personal data that results is described in our Privacy.
Changing your answer
▸ Clear this site's cookies in your browser; the banner will ask you again on your next visit.
▸ Block cookies for glasshours.art in your browser settings; the shop will still show products, but the basket and language choice won't persist.
▸ Write to [email protected] and tell us you've changed your mind about analytics; we will treat that as a withdrawal of consent.
Your browser's help pages explain where the cookie controls are for Chrome, Firefox, Safari and Edge.
